A New Year of Building Smarter

Introduction

As the year gets underway, we’re filled with excitement about what lies ahead for Goldberry and the wider construction community. A new year always brings fresh energy, bold ideas, and renewed focus – and for us, it marks the beginning of one of the most important chapters in our journey so far.

Through years of hands-on construction practice, we identified a persistent gap in how professionals plan, estimate, and manage building costs. As our work evolved, we also observed another challenge: many practitioners are left uncertain about the true intent of the contracts they sign and the regulations they are required to comply with.

Our learned friends in the legal profession often say the law is very clear – but you and I know that, in practice, this is not always the case.

The first gap gave rise to what is now Cost Master. To address the second, we built Builder’s Counsel.

And in 2026, we move decisively from vision to reality.

Why This Year Matters

Construction projects are under increasing pressure – tighter budgets, faster timelines, and growing complexity in standards, specifications, and cost control. Yet the tools available to professionals have not always kept pace with these realities.

Builder’s Counsel: Intelligent Construction Reference

Builder’s Counsel is our intelligent construction reference tool. It is designed to help professionals quickly navigate building codes, standards, methods of measurement, and technical guidance – without digging through volumes of documents.

Whether you’re checking compliance, clarifying contractual clauses, or reviewing technical requirements, Builder’s Counsel delivers trusted answers, fast, and in context.

Built with local market realities in mind, Cost Master enables project teams to work with adaptable, project-specific rates while maintaining cost visibility from early estimates through to construction.
